## End User License Agreement (EULA) for Uno
**Effective Date: February 14, 2025**
### 1. Introduction and Agreement
#### 1.1 Acknowledgement
This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legally binding agreement between you ("End User," "you," or "your") and Official Unofficial, Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") for the use of the Uno software application and any related documentation (collectively, the "Software").
**This EULA is solely between you and Official Unofficial, Inc., not Apple, Inc. ("Apple"). Official Unofficial, Inc., not Apple, is solely responsible for the Software and its content.**
BY INSTALLING, COPYING, OR OTHERWISE USING THE SOFTWARE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS EULA. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THE SOFTWARE.
You must comply with any applicable third party terms of agreement when using the Software.
### 2. How Uno Works
**IMPORTANT: Please read this section carefully.**
Uno connects to a public, decentralized social network (the "Protocol") that we do not own or control.
* **We Store a Signer Key For You**: When you sign up, we generate and store a "signer key" on our servers. This key signs your posts, replies, and other actions in the app. **We do not have access to your wallet, passkey, or any keys that control your identity or assets.** If someone gains access to your Uno account, they could post on your behalf, but they cannot access your wallet or assets. You can export this signer key at any time.
* **We Cache Your Data**: We store copies of your posts and profile to make the app faster.
* **Your Content is Public**: When you post through Uno, it goes to a public network. We cannot delete content from the Protocol.
### 3. License Grant and Scope
Subject to your compliance with the terms of this EULA, the Company grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use one copy of the Software on any Apple-branded device that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple App Store Terms of Service, for your personal, non-commercial use.
### 4. License Restrictions
You agree not to, and you will not permit others to:
a. License, sell, rent, lease, assign, distribute, transmit, host, outsource, disclose, or otherwise commercially exploit the Software.
b. Modify, make derivative works of, disassemble, decrypt, reverse compile, or reverse engineer any part of the Software.
c. Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notice (including any notice of copyright or trademark) of the Company or its affiliates, partners, suppliers, or the licensors of the Software.
### 5. Intellectual Property
The Software, including but not limited to its source code, object code, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is the exclusive intellectual property of the Company and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This EULA does not grant you any ownership rights in the Software.
### 6. User-Generated Content and Your Rights
You retain ownership of the content you create and broadcast using the Software ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting it.
* **Content Deletion**: You have the ability to delete your User Content through the Software. This action will remove the content from our cached systems and send a deletion request to the underlying Protocol. However, due to the public and immutable nature of some decentralized networks, we cannot guarantee that the content will be permanently and completely removed from the Protocol itself or from third-party services that may have copied it.
* **Public Availability**: By using the Software, you acknowledge that your User Content will be broadcast to a public, decentralized network and will be publicly available.
### 7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND DEFECTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, THE COMPANY, ON ITS OWN BEHALF AND ON BEHALF OF ITS AFFILIATES AND ITS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE LICENSORS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND ON BEHALF OF APPLE, EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, WITH RESPECT TO THE SOFTWARE.
WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE COMPANY PROVIDES NO WARRANTY OR UNDERTAKING, AND MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OF ANY KIND THAT THE SOFTWARE OR THE UNDERLYING PROTOCOL WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, ACHIEVE ANY INTENDED RESULTS, BE COMPATIBLE, OR WORK WITH ANY OTHER SOFTWARE, APPLICATIONS, SYSTEMS, OR SERVICES, OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION, MEET ANY PERFORMANCE OR RELIABILITY STANDARDS, OR BE ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY ERRORS OR DEFECTS CAN OR WILL BE CORRECTED.
To the extent that the Company offers any warranties, Official Unofficial, Inc., not Apple, will be solely responsible for such warranties. In the event of any failure of the Software to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the Software (if any) to you; and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Software.
### 8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY OR ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
a. LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
b. LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SOFTWARE.
c. LOSSES RESULTING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT OR THE COMPROMISE OF YOUR ACCOUNT CREDENTIALS.
d. LOSSES RESULTING FROM ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR ALTERATION OF OUR SYSTEMS, INCLUDING ANY COMPROMISE OF THE MESSAGE SIGNER KEYS WE MANAGE ON YOUR BEHALF.
e. LOSSES ARISING FROM VULNERABILITIES, FAILURES, OR BUGS IN THE SOFTWARE, THE UNDERLYING DECENTRALIZED PROTOCOL, OR ANY RELATED SMART CONTRACTS.
f. ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE PROTOCOL.
### 9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that such parties may incur as a result of or arising from your (or anyone using your account's) violation of this EULA.
### 10. Privacy and Data
Your use of the Software is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this EULA by reference. By using the Software, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy, including our collection, use, and storage of your personal information, server-side keys, and cached data.
### 11. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically without notice from the Company if you fail to comply with any term(s) of this EULA. Upon termination, you shall cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies, full or partial, of the Software. You may terminate this EULA by deleting the Software and all copies thereof from your device.
Note that termination of this EULA does not affect any content you have already published to the decentralized Protocol.
### 12. Maintenance and Support
OFFICIAL UNOFFICIAL, INC. IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING ANY MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICES WITH RESPECT TO THE SOFTWARE. You acknowledge and agree that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the Software.
### 13. Product Claims
You acknowledge that Official Unofficial, Inc., not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims of yours or any third party relating to the Software or your possession and/or use of the Software, including, but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Software fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
### 14. Intellectual Property Claims
You acknowledge and agree that Official Unofficial, Inc., not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any third party intellectual property infringement claim that the Software or your possession and use of the Software infringes that third party's intellectual property rights.
### 15. Legal Compliance
You represent and warrant that: (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
### 16. Third Party Beneficiary
You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third party beneficiaries of this EULA, and that, upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this EULA, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this EULA against you as a third party beneficiary thereof.
### 17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This EULA and any dispute arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under this EULA will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware, and the parties hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue therein.
### 18. Changes to this EULA
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace this EULA at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

* **Account information**: Your username, email address, and profile details (bio, profile picture, links).
* **Content**: Posts, replies, likes, and other actions you take in the app.
* **Support requests**: Messages you send to our support team.
#### Information We Collect Automatically
* **Usage data**: Features you use, screens you view, and how you interact with the app.
* **Device data**: Device type, operating system, app version, and IP address.
* **Approximate location**: Based on your IP address (we don't use GPS).
#### Information from Third Parties
* **Wallet providers**: When you sign in, we receive your public wallet address.
* **The Protocol**: We sync your public profile and content from the decentralized network.
### How Uno Works
Uno connects to a public, decentralized social network. This affects your privacy in important ways:
* **Your content is public.** When you post, it goes to a public network that we don't control. Anyone can see it.
* **Deletion is limited.** You can delete content from Uno, but we can't remove it from the Protocol or third-party copies.
* **We store a signer key for you.** This key signs your posts and actions. We keep it on our servers so you don't have to approve every action. You can export it anytime.
* **We cache your data.** We store copies of your posts and profile locally to make the app faster.
### How We Use Your Information

* To personalize your feed and recommendations
* To send you notifications (if you opt in)

### How We Share Your Information
* **With service providers**: Hosting (cloud infrastructure), analytics, push notifications.

* **In a sale or merger**: If we're acquired, your data transfers to the new owner.
* **With your consent**: When you explicitly ask us to share something.
We don't sell your personal information.
### Data Retention
* **Account data**: Kept while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
* **Content on the Protocol**: We can't delete this—it's on a public network.
* **Usage logs**: Deleted after 90 days.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:
* Access your personal data

**Legal basis for processing**: We process your data based on (1) contract performance (providing the service), (2) legitimate interests (security, product improvement), and (3) consent (push notifications, marketing).
**International transfers**: We're based in the US. We transfer data from the EEA/UK using Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
**Complaints**: You can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
### Children
Uno is not for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
### Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We limit access to personal data to employees who need it. But no system is perfectly secure—use a strong passkey and keep your account credentials safe.
### Changes
We'll post changes here and update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll notify you in the app.

### How We Protect Your Account
#### Signer Keys
When you create an account, we generate a signer key that authorizes posts and actions on your behalf. Here's how we protect it:
* **Encrypted at rest** using AES-256
* **Stored separately** from your account data
* **Access logged** and monitored
* **Exportable** anytime—you can take it and leave
Your signer key can post on your behalf, but it cannot access your wallet, transfer assets, or change your identity on the Protocol.
#### Authentication
* We use passkey-based authentication—no passwords to steal
* Sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity
* You can revoke sessions from your account settings
#### Infrastructure
* Hosted on Google Cloud with encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest
* Production access restricted to essential personnel
* Systems patched regularly
* Automated monitoring for anomalies
### Vulnerability Disclosure
We welcome security research. If you find a vulnerability, we want to hear about it.

* Give us reasonable time to fix issues before disclosure (90 days)
* Don't use automated scanners aggressively
#### Safe Harbor
If you follow these rules, we will:
* Not pursue legal action against you
* Not report you to law enforcement
* Work with you to understand and resolve the issue

### 1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Uno ("Services"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Services.
These terms incorporate our [Privacy Policy](/legal/privacy) and [EULA](/legal/eula).
### 2. How the Services Work
Uno connects to a public, decentralized social network (the "Protocol") that we don't own or control.
* **Your content is public.** When you post, it goes to a public network. We can't delete content from the Protocol.
* **We store a signer key for you.** This key signs your posts and actions. We don't have access to your wallet or passkey. You can export your key anytime.
* **We cache your data.** We store copies of your posts and profile to make the app faster.
* **Keep your account secure.** If someone accesses your account, they can post on your behalf.
### 3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
### 4. Your Content
#### Ownership
You own the content you post. You're responsible for it.
#### License to Us
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content to provide and promote the Services. This includes caching and showing your content to other users.
#### Deletion
You can delete your content from Uno. This removes it from our systems and sends a deletion request to the Protocol. We can't guarantee removal from the Protocol or third-party copies.
#### Signer Key Export
You can export your signer key anytime. Once exported, you're responsible for its security.
### 5. Prohibited Conduct
Don't use the Services to:
* Post illegal, hateful, harassing, or abusive content
* Incite violence
* Violate intellectual property rights
* Spam, phish, or deceive
* Interfere with the Services or their security
* Scrape data without permission
* Impersonate others
* Break the law
We can suspend or terminate your account for violations.
### 6. Copyright Complaints
We respond to copyright complaints under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
To report infringement, send a notice to [dmca@officialunofficial.com](mailto\:dmca@officialunofficial.com) with:
* Your contact information
* Identification of the copyrighted work
* Identification of the infringing material and its location
* A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized
* A statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate
* Your physical or electronic signature
We'll remove infringing content and may terminate repeat infringers.
### 7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS." WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. DECENTRALIZED NETWORKS AND CRYPTOGRAPHIC SYSTEMS HAVE INHERENT RISKS.
### 8. Limitation of Liability
WE'RE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100.
THIS APPLIES TO:
* Your use of or inability to use the Services
* Unauthorized access to your account or signer key
* Service interruptions or bugs
* Third-party conduct or content
* Content that persists on the Protocol after deletion
### 9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Services or violation of these terms.
### 10. Dispute Resolution
#### Arbitration
Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules.
**EU users:** This arbitration clause doesn't apply to you if it's unenforceable under your local law. You may bring claims in your local courts.
#### Class Action Waiver
You waive any right to participate in class actions or class-wide arbitration, to the extent permitted by law.
#### Exceptions
Either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible.
### 11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Delaware law. Subject to the arbitration clause, disputes will be resolved in Delaware courts.
### 12. Third-Party Services
The Services may integrate with third-party services. Your use of those features is subject to their terms.
### 13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. For material changes, we'll notify you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
### 14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violating these terms. You can delete your account anytime.
On termination:
* Your right to use the Services ends
* Content you posted to the Protocol remains on the Protocol
* Sections that should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification) will survive
### 15. Inactive Accounts
We may delete accounts that have been inactive for 12 months or more, after sending notice to your registered email.
### 16. Force Majeure
We're not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government actions, internet failures, or Protocol outages.
### 17. General
* **Severability:** If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
* **No Waiver:** Our failure to enforce a right isn't a waiver of that right.
* **Assignment:** You can't assign these terms. We can assign them in a merger or acquisition.
* **Entire Agreement:** These terms (plus Privacy Policy and EULA) are the entire agreement.
